NSW Govt prepares for the implementation of the GSE Act
February 02, 2014
The NSW Government's new GSE Act, and subsequent Regulation and Rules represent the most substantial change in the public sector workforce in NSW in 12 years. Whilst there is still some areas of uncertainty, the changes will have broad reaching implications across strategic management, workforce planning and performance management.
The changes will also have broad impacts on the recruitment and selection of employees, requiring a new level of rigour and accountability whilst allowing greater flexibility in the recruitment process. Changes include the incorporation of the NSW Government Capability Framework into the assessment process as well as substantial procedural change at all stages of the selection process.
PTS and our psychometric assessment partners are able to provide you with the guidance you need to satisfy any obligations under the new legislation as well as a range of assessment tools specifically tailored to assess against the capability framework and any specific role competencies.
